Now you don't even have to go to the Kingdom Hall - ALL meetings to be recorded & available on jw.org (if you have a password)
by sir82 inlatest boe letter:.
october 22, 2015. to all bodies of eldersre: use of jw stream.
dear brothers:we are writing to inform you that arrangements are being made for video recordings ofcongregation meetings, circuit assemblies, and conventions to be uploaded to jw stream (accessibleat http://stream.jw.org) in various languages.

This too should make ''fading'' out of the Borg easier too. Since the JW's focus everything so much on ''appearances'', all one has to do now is say ''oh, I just watch the meetings on JWstream now''. That is when they are questioned about never being ''seen'', or confronted with ''we missed you at the meeting''. -

I think I mentioned on here the other day within a few years time EVERYTHING, will be digitalized. I mean everything!!
What I'm saying is that out in FS everyone going to the calls in FS will have a tablet. They will show the householder the website, play a video or something and have the householder scan the Q.R. code with his/her own smartphone or iPhone and direct them right to JW.org.
All Sunday and midweek meetings will be recorded and available anytime anywhere. The Sunday meetings will probably have one of the GB record a talk and will be displayed by video at the KH.
Everyone at the KH will have some kind of electronic device with ALL publications, including the study of the WT. I truly believe GONE are the days of paper copies for everything, including songbooks.

Paris as an opportunity to frame religious extremism
by NeverKnew inin a conversation, my jw listener posed the sadness and the unnecessary loss of life of the bombings.
also, something was said about a belief on the extremist's part that their actions would or could bring armageddon to earth (i wasn't clear as to where this came from).
i recognized the connection that i believed was being drawn and that's when i went off.. the gist of my response:.

The JW's jus get more and more delusional with every passing event. Over and over again, and everyone gets more and more tired. -

Other Religious Groups Critical of Higher Education
by Wild_Thing ini was reading an essay online about how witnesses are critical of higher education and discourage it.
the editor's note said there are other conservative religious groups that hold the same view towards education.. there are?
do any of you know of any religious group that works as hard as the jws at keeping their members stupid?.

Any developed thinking skills which can make a person think contrary to what is taught, is outright discouraged. Or just plain demonized to make it dangerous. -

Elder On Tablet During Prayer
by jw07 induring a prayer in the kh all our eyes are supposed to be closed, right?
i've never been one to fully my eyes during prayers.
i'll close them down, but just enough that i can still peep around at what's happening without being noticed.. there's something i've noticed a certain elder doing for the second time now.

IMHO, elders are the ones who are supposed to be setting the example, like that of prayers. They should be the ones with their heads down and not fiddling with tablets. Hypocrisy. -

These Paris terrorist attacks will once again whoop up the JW's mindset that the big 'A' is on the doorstep. Delusional. -

The Borg has to give it's followers that ''all is well'' in the WT. When nothing is further from the truth. With the Borg asking for hand over fist, the rank and file cannot even sniff anything wrong. The Borg is very well versed at keeping the rank and file feeling unique and blessed in every way. -

Why do most Christians churches have masonic and/or pagan symbols?
by kabwell inhas anyone looked at the local churches in their area and seen pagan and freemason symbols both inside and outside.
i am not a jw but at least they don't seem to follow this trend.
why do "christians" wear a symbol of torture and death ?
-
Beth Sarim
I think that most churches and organizations have symbols and such just to promote their existence. Just as the Borg now promotes jw.org everywhere now including some fonts of KH's and even things now hanging from JW's rear view mirrors in their cars. -

The Appeal and Draw of the Watchtower
by Saved_JW inwhen i first left the watchtower organization in 2008, a flood of emotions came back to me.
betrayal, anger, resentment, deep depression from the relationships lost.
emotions seemed to guide my viewpoint of others as well.

Agreed!! Most people don't have the guts to leave the Borg. That's why the only option sometimes is to ''fade''. As mentioned, it can take years and years to successfully fade. Or situations may arise in one's life where considered ''wrong doing'' can lead to df'ing, which will present that ticket to ''freedom''. -

The emotional control of being shunned by pretty much all of your friends and family can easily over power anyone.
